FAQ

FAQ

Ques 1: How do I know when home remedies can’t treat me anymore?

ANS: You need an immediate meeting with a doctor when your leg becomes swollen as this can signal

a blood clot which is very dangerous for you. A swollen leg is not something you can ignore

especially when it already lasted for a couple of days because this says that maybe aside from

varicose vein, you also acquired other serious venous disease like deep vein thrombosis and

chronic vein insufficiency. Bleeding of the skin above the varicose vein and severe pain on your

legs are other obvious things you cannot treat at home.

Ques 2. Do vitamins and supplements or any other medicine help my vein condition?

Ans :Sure you can take some vitamins which can prevent symptoms of varicose vein. Examples are

butcher’s broom, sweet clover, grape, horse chestnut, and pycnogenol. But once you already

developed varicose veins, these given examples are not considered helpful.

Ques :3. Do vein treatments have side effects?

Ans :Any vein treatment will cause skin discoloration. Pain is possibly felt but very rare and doctors

know how to what to do about it. If the treatment given to you involves removal of a varicose

vein, you do not have to think that you now lack veins. Truth is, the blood circulation will

improve because healthy veins are not interrupted by varicose veins.

Ques :4. When do doctors suggest vein surgery?

Ans: Most vein treatments are done to close the varicose vein but through surgery, the varicose vein

can be removed. It is only required if your condition is severe such that blood clot, pain and

infections became extreme. If another varicose vein develops, a surgery is not most likely

suggested instead, other treatments will do. Estimated recovery is usually after 1 to 4 weeks.
